KayJay by Kritika entered the market with a clear design aesthetic, a growing Instagram audience, and strong product appeal. What the brand needed wasn't a complete reinvention—it needed a strategic marketing partner capable of turning a promising label into a recognised name among India's younger fashion audience.
Across a five-month retainer, Try Slay Social took over the brand's content strategy, social media management, celebrity & influencer styling, product launches, and performance marketing. The focus shifted from simply showcasing outfits to building continuous product desirability through editorial storytelling, seasonal launches, and cultural visibility.
Rather than chasing follower growth alone, the strategy prioritised product discovery, customer trust, and brand recognition.
Client Overview
A Delhi-based contemporary western wear label.
KayJay by Kritika is a Delhi-based contemporary western wear label creating occasion-ready silhouettes for women. Designed around versatile seasonal fashion, the brand blends elevated party wear with modern, wearable styling for a digitally native audience.
The Challenge
KayJay wasn't struggling with relevance—it was struggling with scale.
The founder had successfully built an early audience by consistently posting products across Instagram and Facebook while running basic advertising. However, as a new fashion label, managing content creation, launches, influencer outreach, paid campaigns, and community growth simultaneously became increasingly difficult.
The business needed a structured growth engine that could
- Maintain a premium and consistent social presence
- Increase product visibility beyond its existing audience
- Build stronger recognition within the fashion industry
- Create meaningful celebrity and influencer associations
- Support product launches with strategic storytelling instead of isolated promotions
The objective was clear: grow the label without losing its distinct aesthetic.
The Insight
The audience wasn't buying collections—they were buying individual looks.
Unlike couture brands that rely heavily on seasonal narratives, KayJay's products were intentionally designed to remain relevant across multiple occasions and seasons. That insight reshaped the content strategy.
Instead of making every campaign collection-centric, we positioned each outfit as a hero product with its own styling story. This created more opportunities for discovery, repeat visibility, and purchase intent while preserving the overall brand identity.
The result was a content ecosystem where every product could continue generating attention long after launch.
The Decision
Our role extended beyond content production—we became the brand's external marketing team.
The strategy combined three growth levers into one continuous system.
Every launch, reel, campaign, and collaboration reinforced the same positioning: contemporary western wear that felt aspirational yet accessible.
-
Always-on content management
Consistent publishing five days a week.
-
Celebrity and influencer visibility
Building cultural recognition among younger audiences.
-
Performance-led product launches
Designed to drive profile visits, website discovery, and customer enquiries rather than vanity metrics.
The Execution
One continuous system, four working parts.
01 — Content System
Building a Product-First Content System
The content calendar revolved around products rather than temporary trends, allowing each design to remain commercially relevant throughout the season.
Short-form reels became a central storytelling format, supported by editorial carousels, product detail creatives, and daily stories that maintained continuous visibility between launches.
Publishing remained consistent at 5 days per week, ensuring the brand never disappeared from its audience's feed for extended periods.
Content pillars
02 — Collection Launches
Online Collection Launches
Every launch followed a structured rollout instead of a single announcement.
Each collection was introduced through teaser content, editorial imagery, product-focused reels, and styling narratives that prolonged audience interest beyond launch day.
03 — Cultural Visibility
Celebrity & Influencer Styling
Recognition often begins with repeated cultural appearances.
To expand KayJay's visibility, we actively circulated lookbooks to celebrity stylists, talent managers, and influencer representatives while coordinating styling opportunities for photoshoots, events, and public appearances.
Rather than isolated gifting exercises, these collaborations positioned the label within conversations already shaping contemporary fashion culture.

04 — Performance
Performance Marketing Supporting Discovery
Organic storytelling established desirability, while paid campaigns accelerated product discovery.
Across the reported campaign period, performance marketing focused on multiple business objectives including profile visits, website visits, and messaging campaigns, allowing different products to reach audiences at different stages of intent. The campaigns collectively generated over 416K reach, 65,474 post engagements, and 13,869 link clicks while supporting continuous product visibility across Instagram.
The advertising strategy also identified Instagram Explore, Stories, Feed, and Reels as the primary discovery placements, reinforcing a mobile-first content approach.

The Learning
Early-stage fashion brands don't always need louder marketing—they need more intentional marketing.
By shifting the conversation from collections to individual products, the brand created more entry points for discovery while maintaining a cohesive visual identity. Combined with celebrity styling, influencer partnerships, and consistent publishing, the label built stronger recognition without relying on short-lived trends.
The most valuable outcome wasn't simply increased visibility—it was creating a scalable marketing system that allowed a young fashion label to grow with consistency.
Very understanding and cooperative team. Full of excellent marketing ideas. Designing is also very professional. Hoping to reach maximum heights with Gideon Alliance.
